Maggi Homemade Sauce

 Ingredients

  • 1.176 Kg Beefsteak Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1" Ginger 
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 Cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste


 

 Preparation

  • Take a thick bottom pan add the cut tomatoes, ginger, garlic, onion and let it cook.
  • Once all the ingredients are cooked let it cool down completely.
  • Add the cooked tomatoes to the blender and puree the tomatoes, ginger, garlic and onion.
  • Pass the pureed tomatoes through the sieve. 
  • Discard the tomato seeds and skin.
  • Keep it on the stove top and cook it till it thickens as per your choice.
  • Add the sugar, salt, chili powder and vinegar.
  • Let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Let the sauce cool down completely.
  • Store it in a clean and sterilized glass container.

 Tips:

As there is no preservative in the sauce you should store it in the fridge.
